When the can, the valve and the spray cap, the active product, the solvents and the gas propellant have been selected, an aerosol is filled up in several steps:

• air blowing and vacuuming to eliminate dust and fragments inside the can • filling with the active product (hairspray, insecticide, lubricant, etc.) • fitting and fixing of the valve • filling up with the gas propellant • code marking to identify the production batch and to guarantee traceability • automatic weighing • compulsory immersion in water to check the resistance of the can to pressure and to detect any leaks; elimination of defective aerosols • drying • installation of the push-button or spray cap • installation of the top • packaging • storage

Quality and safety inspections, especially pressure measurements, are carried out at every step in the manufacturing process.
